Stay at Home Online Opportunity: Selling Travel Packages

Stay at Home Online Opportunity: Selling Travel Packages

People enjoy traveling either for leisure or business but most of them don’t want to worry about the details of their trip. They often choose packages from travel agencies that will handle their flight, car rides, hotel accommodations, activities, tours on famous landmarks or even food.  This is a very convenient way to go since it is cheaper than choosing to book everything on your own and eliminates the hassle of dealing with different companies for your travel needs.

If you are well traveled and wants a stay at home opportunity, organizing and selling travel packages online can be a great income opportunity. Your main task is to prepare travel packages for different traveler’s needs and budget but at the same time cover all the necessary details to make their trip enjoyable and memorable.

Being well traveled is a big advantage because you have the first hand information and experience on the interesting places or countries to spend a vacation, the shopping haven, party hot spots and specialty foods. The perks of knowing these inside information is to cater to the customer’s needs and make your package benefit their main interest, it may be setting up a trip on tourist spots or to the finest shopping districts.  Knowing these details can help you sell travel packages online. To help you get started on this online venture, here are the top 3 factors to do and consider.

1. Research for reputable affiliate travel agent/agencies, it can be based on your travel experience or through referrals from friends or relatives. You can apply as a part-time travel agent, the best thing for most online travel agencies is they give flexibility by allowing agents to work at home and just occasionally report to the office.

Another reason to work for online travel agencies is that they provide online trainings to their travel agents. Learning the basics from the seasoned professionals will definitely help you get started on this business.

While undergoing the online training, you should study the different travel packages offered by the company and pay attention to the package you are familiar with. Focus on one or two packages  which you think you can sell the most. Make sure that you get all the important information and the littlest details that can be asked by your prospective clients.

2. Launch your own website that features the travel package(s) that you will specialize in. The main goal is to focus on a particular target market which your package will cater into. You may ask professional help to help you create a usable site that can draw possible customers.

3. Make yourself readily available for customer’s queries about the services that you offer. Make sure to answer it promptly and with enthusiasm. The best way to advertise your online venture is through word of mouth and this is done automatically by satisfied customers.

Make good use of your travel experiences, venture on this online stay at home income opportunity if you think you can handle a great challenge of making your customer’s dream vacation come true.

Help answer the question about travel packages

Can anybody out there give me personal feedback and info on online travel vacation packages?
I am planning on taking a trip to New York City in May and have been looking around to the sites such as Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, but wanted to get some real feedback and advice on what to do or what not to do, that sort of thing? Is it easier than using a local travel agency, is it easy in general? thanks for the responses.
the vacation package would include flight and hotel.

You should learn not to make enemies.

Also, videos of cardboard boxes being opened are dumb. Don’t perpetuate this nonsense. If you’re going to imitate things you see others doing, choose something excellent.

You could start you own online travel business through a host agency. It would eliminate the headaches your having. Working through a host agency, you can eliminate the enormous expense and risk of starting a travel agency, but get all of the rewards. The training is provided and you can get to the fun stuff quickly (selling travel).

This is why my wife and I started our own online travel business. We’ve looked for years for a home based business and this is the first thing that made sense to us. The company that we work through is publicly traded, SEC regulated, is a member of DSA, and even offers health insurance. They even send their top agents on a cruise to the Bahamas. No one else does this. We love this business!

Does it have to be all-inclusive? I booked my last Argentina vacation with a travel agent who got us the hotel, transfers, international flights, domestic flights (we went to Iguazu, Buenos Aires, and Mendoza) within Argentina, and a few tours. The rest we just paid for ourselves when we got there. If you google travel agent and the area you want to go to (like Peru, Colombia, etc.), you'll find ones that specialize and can book almost everything for you in advance.

Are you a student? You may want to look into your local community college. The local college by me has credit or non credit travel trips to many destinations. If not take a look below for many tour companies.

Start in Split and travel down the coast towards Dubrovnik on the Jadrolinjia (ferry) to each destination. The scenery on your voyage is absolutely breathtaking.

Korcula is more "old school" (less touristy) than Hvar Town (if going to Hvar, definitely check out Stari Grad), Split and Dubrovink. There are not as many hotel options and expect them to be between 2 & 3 stars, as opposed to the Suncani hotels in Hvar Town or several in Dubrovnik. This is important to some people, so I am just throwing the information out there. In Korcula, you must go to a wonderful local bar/restaurant called Briskula and ask the owner (Domi) to try the homemade white wine. Croatia has the best homemade wine!

Hvar Town is becoming a very trendy destination and is packed every weekend in the summer with "beautiful people". This Ibiza but smaller.

Any other questions, let me know. It's cheaper to travel in May and September. If you get a chance, stop by the capital city of Zagreb. Its a much more easy-going and much less touristy than many other European capitals.

I would go to http://www.orbitz.com. My boyfriend and I booked our trip though them and they were the cheapest. 5 nights 4 day trip to Honolulu with hotel, we paid about $1,500.00, no more!!!!
